Keyan Farlander is a highly regarded character in the Star Wars universe, famous for being one of the Rebellion's ace starfighter pilots. Introduced in the 1993 LucasArts video game Star Wars: X-Wing, he is best known for his prowess in operating B-Wing starfighters. Farlander fought in pivotal battles like the Battle of Yavin, and the Battle of Endor, exhibiting significant courage and stellar flying skills. Despite being introduced in a video game, Farlander's impact on in-universe lore expanded, making him an enduring part of Star Wars canon and Legends material.
Farlander's life saw trials and transformation. Born and raised on Agamar, he led a peaceful life but was pulled into conflict when the Empire attacked his home planet. This resulted in the death of his parents, causing a distraught Farlander to join the Rebellion. Over his career, his actions contributed greatly to the Rebellion's success, participating in, and surviving, missions that frequently had high mortality rates. Outside of his flying skills, Farlander is notably one of few non-Jedi Force sensitives in the universe, although this aspect of his character is not deeply explored. Farlander is also recognized for his stoic and disciplined personality, principles that served him well in his rise through the Rebellion's ranks.
