Exar Kun

Characters

Exar Kun, widely known in the Star Wars universe, was a very influential and powerful Sith Lord. He was originally a Jedi Knight, but his unrelenting pursuit of greater knowledge and power led him to the dark side. His journey began under the Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, however, his assertive nature and his unsatisfied thirst for knowledge led him to obscure Sith teachings.

Driven by ambition, Kun sought out the spirit of the ancient Sith Lord, Freedon Nadd. Under Nadd's guidance, he embraced the dark side on Korriban, the homeworld of the Sith. Freedon Nadd's Ghost led Kun to the Sith mausoleum world where he discovered ancient Sith artifacts, including an incredibly powerful Sith amulet. He soon became strong in the ways of the dark side and the ancient Sith.

Kun's transformation didn't stop with the mastery of the dark side. After killing Freedon Nadd's spirit, he traveled to Yavin 4 where he enslaved the Massassi race. Using their labor, Kun constructed enormous dark side-powered temples. Moreover, he managed to imprison the soul of the Sith Lord Marka Ragnos and established himself as the Dark Lord of the Sith.

Teaming up with Ulic Qel-Droma, another fallen Jedi, Kun led the Great Sith War, causing widespread destruction across the galaxy. His reign, however, ended when he was trapped inside his temple on Yavin 4 by the combined might of the Jedi Order, sacrificing his physical life but preserving his spirit for thousands of years.

Even as a spirit trapped within the Sith Temple for millennia, Kun remained a significant threat. Making his presence known again during the time of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Praxeum, he nearly succeeded in eliminating the future of the Jedi. However, he was finally vanquished by the combined strength of Skywalker and his students, ensuring the continuation of the Jedi legacy.

In every aspect, Exar Kun signifies an embodiment of ambition, power, and dark magnificence in the Star Wars universe. His influence shaped numerous key events, marking him as one of the most formidable Sith Lords in the history of the galaxy.
