Sith Temple

Dark Side

The Sith Temple, sometimes referred to as the Sith Arts' Academy or the Sith Academy, is an integral part of the Star Wars universe. It is a foreboding structure that looms in the backdrop of the Sith's home world, mostly found in the Sith species' native system of Korriban. Over centuries, the mysterious and dark cult of Sith Lords have used these temples as a training ground, as well as a place to conduct their arcane rituals and meditation.

The architecture of these temples often reflect the Sith's obsession with power, darkness and control. They are colossal in their size, built with rare, resilient materials, and often feature grand statues, and artifacts that encapsulate the Sith's history and power. Internally, these temples house vast libraries of Sith lore, training facilities, meditation chambers, and personal quarters for residing Sith Lords. Some even have crypts to entomb their leaders.

Furthermore, these temples are also known to harbor secrets within their realms. Various temples contain hidden chambers and gateways to Sith strongholds, serving to protect the powerful and dangerous Sith artifacts. These artifacts are often filled with dark energy, contributing to the temple's malignant aura.

The Sith Temple that most fans might be familiar with is the one on Malachor. This specific temple carries a powerful Sith superweapon capable of utter devastation. As portrayed in Star Wars Rebels, a climatic duel between Darth Vader and Ahsoka Tano took place in this temple.

Sith Temples also played a significant role in Darth Sidious' (Emperor Palpatine) contingency plan following his death, serving as the foundation for his resurrection in Exegol. This temple was excavated by Sith Loyalists, who spent many years unearthing it under Palpatine’s guidance.

The presence of a Sith Temple invariably signifies the presence of the dark side of The Force, and every single one of these temples are steeped in Sith history, dark-side rituals, and fraught with danger. They remain as an ominous symbol of the strength and resilience of the Sith Lords even in the most recent Star Wars trilogies.
