The Sith Wayfinder is a mysterious artifact that made its first appearance in the Star Wars universe in Episode IX, "The Rise of Skywalker." This intriguing object connects back to the ancient Sith knowledge and bears a pivotal role in the plotline of the movie. Here, the Wayfinder played a crucial role in aiding Darth Sidious's ultimate plan to restore the Sith Empire and seize control over the galaxy. In his efforts to ensure his survival and the continuation of the Sith, Palpatine created several Sith Wayfinders that would point to the hidden location of Exegol when activated.

Upon activation, the Sith Wayfinder projects a holographic star map that references the vast cosmic landscape of the Star Wars galaxy. Using the Wayfinder, a pilot is guided along a route that leads them through a series of dangerous hyperspace anomalies and treacherous paths to reach the hidden planet of Exegol.
