Manufactured by Kuat Systems Engineering, the Eta-2 is a sleek and nimble craft designed to capitalize on a Jedi's reflexes and combat acumen. It is a direct successor to the Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor, featuring advancements such as increased speed, agility, and weaponry. The ship includes twin laser cannons and twin ion cannons, providing it with powerful offensive capabilities in dogfights against Separatist forces. Despite its limited shielding, the interceptor relies on its maneuverability and the skill of its pilot to survive in combat.

The design of the Eta-2 Actis-class also accommodates an astromech droid, typically an R2 unit, which assists with navigation, repairs, and provides additional combat support.
