Battle of Coruscant

The Battle of Coruscant was a pivotal moment in the Star Wars universe, specifically marking a key event in The Clone Wars. This battle was depicted in the movie "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith". The plans of General Grievous, the commander of the Separatist Droid Army, were to capture Chancellor Palpatine to force the Republic into negotiations. Unknown to the Republic, this scheme was part of an even larger plan hatched by Palpatine himself to turn Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side.

The battle was massive, both on the ground and in the space above Coruscant. The Republic was caught by surprise, but managed to put up a fierce fight with the Jedi and clone troopers defending the planet. Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker were instrumental in Palpatine's rescue, albeit unbeknownst to them, playing into Palpatine's gambit. Nevertheless, in the grand scheme, this battle marked the beginning of the end of the Republic and the onset of the Galactic Empire.
