Hello. And today we are going to be reviewing Clone Wars Season 1, Episodes 14 and Episodes 15.

Also, we're going to be continuing like we did on the last podcast and reviewing the second Visions episode.

I am doing very well, thank you for asking. I recently endured my bout of COVID.

I am through it, I am clear. It was really mild for me. I'm very grateful. Fully vaxxed. Good to go.

Did you feel like a Superman on the last day or the day after you felt like everything was gone away?

I've heard some people say that. They say they have like tons of energy.

No, no, no, no. Because mine was very mild. So I had like one and a half days of feeling like something's wrong, I'm sick.

And then it tapered off. So I didn't have that, now you're better.

You didn't have that clean day come out.

Yeah, it was just a taper off. It was annoying.

Alright, well it's good to have you back. It's good to drink some beer with you.

So on that note, what are you drinking tonight Jon?

Well, I'm trying something special. You may have heard of it. It's from Jekyll Brewing.

And it's called 8-Bit Revival. Now apparently they came out with 8-Bit before, but I'm not familiar with it.

Yes, I feel like I remember being, the first time it came out, being like, ooh, I really want to drink that.

And then I didn't. I just never went out and found it. And then you were actually at the store on Tuesday, I think? Tuesday or Wednesday?

Sounds right. Yeah, Monday.

Monday, yeah, and you came across this and you were very kind enough to put three of them in my mailbox.

So I will also be drinking the 8-Bit Revival by Jekyll Brewing.

This is a first, yes.

Well, no, no, we had the Chimay Brewing.

Oh, I forgot about that.

But that was a celebratory beer.

That was celebratory.

Yeah, this is just us both drinking the same beer on the same night.

And also too, the really cool thing is Jekyll is only like five miles away from us.

So this is about, it's not our closest brewery to us, but it is second place.

Hold up. Aroma and flavor, pineapple, passion fruit, heavy citrus and a touch of peach.

Ooh, a little Georgian there, I like it.

Creamy texture across the palate, supported by a pungent, hot presence.

The higher ABV brings together the overall experience by reinforcing the hops and creamy mouthfeel.

I mean, that makes your mouth water right there.

It does. It's a double and I like the way that they, pungent.

If I were describing my beer and putting it on the side of a can, I probably wouldn't use the word pungent.

But I like how they're just like, no, we're going to use the word pungent.

It's pungent, yeah.

Because we feel like it's pungent.

And even talked about positions and stuff, which was kind of weird.

Well, I don't even know where Tom lives.

And, John, you ready to just jump into episode 14?

I mean, this was the end of the kind of arc that we've been watching the last two episodes, I think.

Is this the second episode?

This is the third episode, I think. Isn't it?

Yes, it is the third. You're correct.

So this is the end of the arc.

I kind of should have probably got us to watch this one on the last bite.

Cassius kind of yeah, this one this one's pretty good. I mean, I thought so.

I'll give you a second. Let me give you some background on the actual episode here.

Yeah, so this one actually aired on January 23rd, 2009.

Director was Stuart Lee, and then the writer was Bill Canterbury.

And then we'll talk about this. We'll talk about the guest star in a moment.

But so basically the while the Jedi are combat

and the Separatists with the pacifist Lerman, the little what we call lemur guys.

I think last time the aliens.

Yeah, I have to have to decide whether they want to actually go against

their beliefs and engage the Separatists that have landed on their planet.

And yeah, I yeah. All right. Give me give me your opinion.

What was your what was your overall opinion of this?

A good a good finish to this little mini arc.

OK, we're getting annoying.

And so I think they did a good job of wrapping it up by showing that

the younger people really start to question.

Are we supposed to lie down and die here?

What is the what's your end game?

And the older the elder lemur was saying, we do not attack.

We don't provoke.

Well, you're going to they're going to kill you anyway.

So there was a moment there where I think it's Anakin says,

I may not be Anakin, but anyway, they say basically, these are our beliefs.

We believe in defending you.

So respect our beliefs, because that's what we're going to do.

Yeah. And I think it was Ahsoka that mentioned that.

But then also but then you also kind of have Sakura saying that.

And I think this was a direct quote.

Sometimes it's bravery.

It's even braver to stick to one's beliefs, which.

I don't know, you get that you get the balance from a lot of the Jedi

I think Anakin is of the variety where I don't want to say he doesn't care,

but he does state that, you know, pretty much state that that's your beliefs.

And that's that's fine.

You hold them.

We're going to try to do our best to defend you.

But just make sure you understand that we may not be able to.

So the general knock a door, who was the Knox door, sorry,

who was the head of the Separatists that landed on the planet was the great.

It wasn't like a radiation type.

It's giving me Vietnam flashbacks, man.

Yeah, it was. I mean, it was it was pretty like when you see that flame, like the the wave of flame coming toward the village,

you're kind of like, OK, well, this is pretty legit.

I mean, it's not like a it's not like a warning shot.

Like he's ready to raise the village.

And he was in Taki's character was ready to raise the village very, very quickly.

I mean, it was pretty much like, yeah, the bridge is going to burn it down and test this weapon out.

Like there's no worry about anything, which was, in my opinion, maybe a little overdone just to.

It's juxtapose.

Yeah, it's they're they're kind of black and white.

You know, they're they're cartoon cutouts.

They're evil.

OK, and so what do evil, evil people do?

They do evil things.

And of course, you're going to do the most evil thing you can think of.

The most evil thing to the past.

So, yeah, so, you know, I thought it was pretty good.

I like the Lerman race, I guess you call him.

I did like how the father son kind of thing was going on where, you know, son didn't want to do anything.

And also, too, I like the I think it was like at one point he sends messages and stuff for this little creature that flies, which was really kind of cool.

I don't know. I just thought it was really neat that in the middle of this battle, when they're up in this tree, he's sending messages back and forth to his friends, telling them to start rounding things up and getting things ready and all that kind of stuff.

Speaking of the tree.

That's exactly what I was going to say is I think that, yeah, I see where you're going with this.

It was a good third episode.

It was it didn't blow me away by any means.

Like it was just kind of everything happened the way you would expect it.

No surprises.

I really did like Anakin's attack on the once the the massive weapon was going to be disabled.

I really liked his attack by himself going against all of them.

That was pretty cool from a graphics perspective.

But other than that, I mean, I'm just kind of like, okay, I don't know.

Just kind of.

No, it was good.

It was as I would say, above average.

I'm not going to give you a number.

I was above average.

And because I thought it touched on some good philosophical points.

It's not that you can't be a pure pacifist.

I just think that accepting what that means is not what a lot of people could do.

Yeah, I agree with that.

But that's interesting.

It's thought provoking.

Alright, let's move on. Let's move on to episode 15, Trespass, which aired on January 30, 2009.

While investigating the disappearance of a clone security force, Anakin and Obi-Wan get caught in the middle of a conflict

between the territorial inhabitants of a desolate ice world and the greedy representatives of a nearby moon.

Director Brian O'Connell, writers Stephen Melching, Henry Gilroy, and...

I didn't recognize any of the people's voices who were the stars, so I'm not going to even attempt to repeat them.

I like this episode. I honestly thought this was going to be the beginning of a new arc, but it's a self-contained episode, actually.

Which is kind of a nice little filler thing in there.

Let's go back to your pen that you mentioned in the previous...

So, again, made in 2009. We have blue people.

It's Pantora!

Well, it's a moon of Pantora.

Like I said, I feel like season one is just a vehicle for delivering us to a new planet,

crashing on that planet or getting a sign of that planet, however we end up there,

introducing us to a new species and another species that are fighting them,

and the Jedi work it out.

Maybe that's what the Jedi life was at this point in the galaxy. I don't know.

I have no problem with anything you just said. That's fine.

Yes, because they were the peacekeepers, right, of the galaxy.

The guardians of the peace.

Yeah, yeah. Okay.

So basically this is another... the same template.

There's a mystery...

Why is it a week?

There's a mystery of the planet of the week.

Same bat channel.

There's a mystery of the people who... Okay, so basically they land on this.

There's a clone army base that they go to. Everyone's dead.

Everyone's just completely gone.

So then they're like, okay, well, we're going to head over to the separate destroyed base

that we know is right across the ravine.

And they get over there. Everyone's dead or everyone's gone.

So they're trying to figure out what's going on.

It's supposed to be uninhabited, or at least that's what the Panthoran guy thinks.

And it turns out that it's not.

There's a very... how do you say... you want to say tribal?

Because they're a little bit... they're tribal, but they're a little bit more advanced.

Yeah, it's tribal-ish.

Yeah, it's tribal-ish.

But they're very aggressive. They're very... keeping to their home world.

They somehow let Obi-Wan come in to talk with them.

And he's just like... he communicates with them with help of C-3PO.

And they figured out that they just want to live in peace.

They don't want to hurt anybody.

They just don't want to be pushed around or anything like that either.

Of course, Captain Panthoran wants to...

He goes to war with them immediately.

They're following orders.

They have to follow orders.

That's what they do.

They're clones.

But I don't want them to.

You don't want them to as the person watching, but also too, you don't get the feeling that

Obi-Wan wants them to either.

And then number two, you get the feeling that Rex understands what Obi-Wan wants and is

trying to keep a balance.

You know what I mean?

Like he's trying not to engage if he doesn't have to.

Right.

Inevitably he has to.

Inevitably some of the clones die.

Inevitably some of the T'ols die.

And then inevitably the Pandora guy dies.

So it's kind of like, well, you know, what are we doing here?

And then you get the feeling that, you know, there's a lot of people that are trying to

have it become what he promises they will, but in the end it's just glory soon.

hey I'm trying to get these guys to stop.

We don't need to fight these guys.

And I think that she gets that.

OK if I remember she gets that.

OK but it's too late.

They've already started.

They've already engaged in battle.

A lot of people die.

Captain or whatever the guy's name is the

protectorate guy from Pantora dies.

I don't know.

It is a good episode.

It just it was just kind of like you can't say it's a

sad episode by anything.

But but also too it's just like nobody want

anything.

Overall it was a sad episode.

Again the only reason the episode even happens is

because of the cartoonishly if you will nature of

the the what was his name again the bad guy the

colonel dude Senator Chu Chi.

He's just insane and not acting completely aggressive

person would.

Yeah exactly.

But that's that's what drives the episodes what

drives the story makes the story happen.

But no overall yeah I mean you're watching the

talls get killed you're watching the clones get

killed you're like stop shooting them.

Everybody just chill out and you can't stop it.

I enjoyed that aspect of it but it makes it

sort of kind of a sad episode.

I will say this those I wrote down snow vipers.

They actually had a name in the thing.

Yeah no no no.

I know those are the coolest those are freaking

things we've seen.

Yeah I agree with that.

I totally agree with that.

Yeah.

You know they look like they look like the

vipers from Battlestar Galactica.

Yeah but they're like snow speeders and that I mean

that's cool.

Yeah.

So you know I don't know if we'll ever have like

this big TV chronicle of what what machinery that

we've seen in this but by far those were the

coolest thing that was even cooler than the member

of the what I don't even know what you call it

like the the metal dinosaur guy from from Doku's

chamber palace thing.

Remember that they fight.

It's like it's like the Mecha.

That is what I thought.

Mecha Godzilla.

Yeah I thought that was super cool.

I forgot about that guy.

But that being said though these were definitely

the coolest the vipers were definitely the coolest

at least things that we've seen within the Clone

Wars episodes in my opinion.

I also I also have to that I thought that the

off like an alien vibe almost.

I think there's 24 episodes in the first season so

we're getting closer to the end of season one.

That being said we're watching a lot of Clone

War so we're trying to throw some other stuff

into into the mix here too.

We are on Star Wars Visions 1.2 and I am so

excited to hear your opinion on.

So Star Wars Visions Episode 2 of course Star

Wars Visions came out last year.

This this actual episode came out on September

22nd 2021.

I believe that this came out with Episode 1 the

last time.

I can't believe it.

A Band with Big Dreams must save one of their own from Jabba the Hutt and Boba Fett.

I don't think you're gonna be expecting it.

Give me your thoughts.

I want to read the entirety of my notes to you on this.

I hate everything about this.

I figured that's where you were gonna go.

So this is that kind of, I don't know how to describe this genre of anime.

I enjoy it, but it's very surreal.

The one we watched, Star Wars Visions, The Journey, I think, the one that we watched last week.

See, I appreciated that one.

I love that and I love that art.

This one, I'm not a huge fan of the type of art.

But the story is so out there that I kind of like respect it a little bit.

I'm just kind of like, yeah, I'm like, all right, so you're a band.

This is like Band on the Run.

This is the song Band on the Run.

They're literally on the run.

Boba's coming in and just wiping out the crowd who they're playing to.

And they are going from place to place trying to save one of their own, if that, which is even better.

You know, I don't know.

You have the three-headed drummer.

What can you not like about the three-headed drummer guy?

It's a very cool small anime story that, of course, has nothing to do with the rest of the Star Wars universe.

It's just using the characters, but it uses them in a kind of fun way.

And I liked it.

And I liked the music at the end.

Did you not smile when those last songs came on, John?

I know you smiled.

You probably kicked back with another beer and said, you know what?

This is what Star Wars is about.

I was busy cursing your name, writing your epitaph.

So we got the I got a bad feeling out of this.

How do I get this time back that I just lost watching this?

See, I can't.

OK, here's the thing.

I can't call it a piece of crap.

OK, let's be clear on this.

Because it's well done.

Even if you don't like it, it's well done.

So you say, I'm not going to call it a piece of crap because I'm not meant to watch this and enjoy it.

Agreed.

You're not the target audience.

That's something we tell all the time.

I remove myself.

All the time when we're doing this podcast, we are never the target audience.

And that's fine.

We like that.

We're never the target audience at one point.

That being the movie.

OK, I would argue right now that the middle age guys pretty much are the target audience for Star Wars.

And that's that gets into a complicated topic.

It really does.

It depends.

A big part of the fan base has a problem with that.

So it's well, it's it depends on the medium to this was definitely not targeted.

Clearly this.

So I would argue the first one.

I don't know.

I think the first one is more of a broader audience.

This really does have a narrow appeal.

Oh, it totally does.

It's it's very niche.

Oh, I should I should say it's niche for people that don't watch anime.

If you watch anime, there's a lot of anime like this.

I mean, it's a pretty calm.

I know.

And I don't like this style of anime.

It's not my style.

It had a slow racist kind of drowning.

There's one there's one part of the very end when they're playing.

It makes me wonder what in the hell is coming in Episode three.

OK, so so the best part of the best part of this episode is definitely when they are asked to do the second song and it shows Boba Fett bouncing his head.

How can you not like that?

I mean, that's just like it's it's so absurd.

It's so absurd that it's great.

I will agree that it is.

It is quite absurd.

It did not.

It takes something to kind of strike that absurd, absurd chord.

Trying to say both words at the same time.

I was like, oh, it's pretty good word.

I don't think it's pretty good.

And it was I was so checked out at that point.

I'm watching the whole thing.

Because that's my job, apparently.

But no, I'm so, you know, mentally checked out as far as like appreciating anything that, no, it misses me entirely.

I know the moment you're speaking of and it did not, it did not resonate.

It did not.

It's like, you know, this is just so crazy.

So my notes really quick, loads of the sluggishness of the label, which I thought was funny.

The attempt to show at the races that they're free of their bandmate by rocking their faces off.

That's what I put in my notes, actually rocking their faces off.

Big pit for two to hang around.

The pod races were also the biggest show, which was, it was a catchy song.

Most likely the cantina watching cracks me up how they showed the cantina, like watching, you know, these, these kids.

Second song was decent too.

Good music production for a short anime.

There's only 14 minutes long.

They had to put some thought into the songs.

Got to show the fat head bouncing.

And then I, this is the last two things I have in my notes.

Star Wars isn't fun.

There's a lot of kind of stuff like this.

So at the end of every year they have what are called annuals and comics, right?

At the end of every kind of round, really.

That's about a year long, which are just these kind of weird one-off stories that

they compact like three or four of them into one comic book episode.

And they're short.

They're just like these, they're probably 10 pages long and you get to have these

kind of like fun stories that you never would have thought anybody would touch

because they probably, it's like, it's, it's probably like very similar to like

Google's 20% rule at their company where they're like 20% of the time one day a

week, you could do what you want to do.

And people come up with the weirdest, wildest things.

And it's people like to say, Oh, this came from the 20% time.

Well, not everything does.

I mean, it's like, you know, it's, it's a marketing thing too, but also too, I'm

sure like only like 1 millionth out of everything that happens in the 20% time

actually, you know, makes it into a product and makes it huge.

You get to flex those creative muscles.

You know what I mean?

Like you get to go do something that you really want to do.

That's weird.

That's kind of the, no, one's going to probably pretty much tell, you know,

because you're choosing what to do.

And I think that that's what this episode was.

I think this is, well, let me tell you that maybe the whole thing of visions is

that you get to go watch people, you know, flex their creative muscles.

And then not only that, but these are pretty big names, you know, in anime too.

So, I mean, it's, you know, they're, no, that's my understanding of what

they're trying to do here.

And, and I'm all for that go nuts.

It's just, this one's not for me.

And I knew, I knew immediately when we started watching this, that

this one wasn't gonna be for you.

They need to do more of this.

Why are we not doing more of this?

You know, I wouldn't be on the internet talking about, oh, this was the best

episode of, you know, why can't we just pivot to this?

So, you know, no, but it's still, it's, it was enjoyable.

It was a neat take.

It's something that I don't watch that type of anime all that much, you know?

So it's like, it's kind of neat.

It's like a visual cotton candy episode.

It cotton candy is the best way to describe that episode, John.

That is, that is that word right there is the perfect way to say it.

I don't like a lot of sugar every now and then I'll get weird.

Every now and then I'll get cotton candy somewhere and be like, this is pretty good.

And then 10 minutes later, I'm probably like, I should have done this.

And you're just like, no, but that being said, yes, it's a cotton candy.

That's a perfect, perfect descriptor in my opinion, for the show, for that episode,

large, commercial food, like grits, popcorn, pickles, sält Kabobs.

These are large and popular products.

The final season of Lost in Space.

Oh, I did not realize it was the final season.

This is season three, correct?

Yeah, whichever one it is.

I watched all of season one.

I enjoyed season one.

I just haven't watched season two or three yet.

It was like, okay.

Did they know going in that it was going to be the last season or is it like a...

Yeah, that's why I had to look it up because the, certainly by the final episode,

it's like, okay, they're wrapping this.

I can enjoy that when they do that.

I think the season, again, I think it's season three, was good to the point that I was a little sad, but I do like when they're able to tie it in a bow.

I think it was a costly show.

Because of the COVID hiatus between two and three, the jarring part of it is, and they compensate well.

They, they shoot the story ahead by I think a year because, you know, Will Robinson, Danger Will Robinson is now way taller than he was.

And it was in season two because of the passage of time.

So they, they totally took care of that in the narrative.

And the big story there was, you know, he's the kid from Babylon, from Lost in Space.

And that was my first real like, okay, what, what was that?

Have you ever gone back and watched an old black and white TV show?

There was some cable, but it wasn't cable cable.

Like it wasn't the good cable.

So we, so I had like TBS and that kind of stuff.

But TBS had, you know, tons of the old stuff.

So, you know, we were always watching Andy Griffith and that, that was actually

like, that wasn't just because we, that was the only thing we got.

Like my parents and like my family enjoy that show a lot.

And then the Barney Five show and then all that kind of stuff.

But, Gomer Pyle.

Yeah, Gomer Pyle.

And then, but, but like I'm trying to think back if like, if there's been

something in the last 10 years that I've been like, that's from the 1960s.

That's a super old show.

I'm going to go back and watch it.

The only thing that I can bring up is Twilight Zone, which I did go back and

watch a few years ago.

A couple of specific episodes because people always talk about them, especially

like when you talk about Black Mirror and stuff like that.

And I've gone back and watched a couple of those.

But other than that, I can't really think of a TV show that I've gone back

and watched from that 60s era.

I mean, Hitchcock movies, like movies are a different breed, but, but shows.

Yeah, I can't really think of anything.

I, that's like, even then I think it was Andy Griffith. Was that 60s?

Yeah, that would have been 60s.

It had to be 60s.

Yeah, it had to be probably mid 60s.

But yeah, yeah, I can't think of anything that I would go back and watch

from that era right now.

I've tried, there have been a couple episodes of Star Trek Original Series

that cross your path.

That's 70s though, right?

I mean, that's.

Mid 60s.

Was it that far back?

Uh-huh.

Maybe.

I was in color, but yeah, it was mid 60s.

It is some of those episodes are pretty much pretty unwatchable.

That was before they had a big budget though, too.

Well, the ones you see now, they've redone a lot of the effects.

It's no, but some of the episodes costuming has to take over.

Some of some of the episodes that you remember and you treasure like

City on the Edge of Forever, right?

That one with the portal.

watched those and you know how good they are and that's why you want

to go back and watch again.

blah blah blah from, you know, 60s 70s or 80s and then you actually

go back and try to watch it because that's where I think that you

can't like well, I say that but you know what?

Yeah, I say that.

I say that but we went on a trip probably about two weeks ago and

the entire flight and then was on, you know, stop the California

so like four hours both ways.

I fell back in love with Cheers, which is an 80s show and I've gone

back to watch it.

Quite the same thing Eric.

No, but what I'm saying though is it's an older show that like, you

know is not going to live up to any type of how do I say this modern

modern?

Yeah, there's nothing.

Yeah, nothing modern about it.

Whatever.

It's a very 80s centric comedy.

Like it like like there's something that you like a certain time

period where you go back and watch something.

I guess a lot of people I had that is going to sound you this is

gonna make me sound old but a lot of people I know have actually

gone back and watched MASH which I never got into I just what

yeah, we watched that growing up.

Yeah, but but a lot of people I actually know two people who I

shouldn't say a lot of people.

I know four people John half of them two of those people have gone

back and actually watched old episodes of MASH which I never would

do but I could I could watch some MASH.

Well, so from what I understand what magic what I wouldn't binge

it.

It's not like I'd watch a bunch of you got to keep in mind that

a lot of this was that's what was on.

I'm not going to pick and choose that.

Well, so what I'm trying to get out is like has there ever been

anything that somebody's told you like sci-fi wise like you have

to watch like you need to watch this.

You won't understand any of it.

Like the first thing that comes to my mind is dr.

Who which I was going to mention dr.

Who I never I've never really gotten into it.

I just I know never really don't even don't even try but there

are people that I know that are like if you start you start here

and it's like something like way back and I'm like, I'm right.

I mean because they want you to get that full story because

it's not that's right.

They want to have the same.

They want to have you to have that same nostalgia thing, right?

And that's just not going to happen.

I know it's give up on that but that but that being said though

like like a long-term story like dr.

Who seems and again, I'm not why it's not it's not long-term.

It's not the stories today.

I have nothing to do with the stories and every time I talk

to somebody they're always like, yeah, well this happened back

in blah blah blah and I'm like, well, Jesus like that's you

got to have like that's like like how many episodes is that?

That's like like how much in there maybe do you have to do

that's their callbacks maybe but but not you know, is it

nostalgic callbacks?

Is it like people today writing being like I watch this my

fan service.

Yeah, I would care.

Okay, he has nothing to do.

I remember even watching back back in the day, right watching

the Tom Baker years where you would have episodes with the

Daleks and and another series with the Daleks and they just

retcon everything.

It doesn't matter.

They're just trying to tell a story of the week.

That's all it is.

There's no arc.

So to get to say that you won't you need to go back to Tom

Baker as an example.

No, you don't that was that was my guy.

I watched him back then.

He was my doctor.

Okay, fine.

Everybody has their own doctor.

That's the most part.

That's that is the coolest part about Doctor Who.

Like everybody has their favorite is generally the ones from

some certain point in their life.

And again, this is coming from this never watch show.

That was driven home me.

I had a conversation in a bar, maybe five, six years, seven

years ago with a guy younger guy.

Somehow we were talking about Doctor Who and and he said,

who's your doctor?

I said Tom Baker man, and there was nothing no, no recognition

whatsoever.

He was a tenant guy.

He was a David Tennant guy.

I was gonna say, did he like grab your drink and walk away?

Like grab your drink and like, no, it was it was a cover

batch of cover batch was not a tenant.

Cumberbatch, I don't know.

Benedict Cumberbatch?

Yes, I haven't watched the show.

I just feel like there's... and I'm thinking of David Tennant.

The What If series.

Did we talk about the What If series?

I have not watched the What If series.

What are you doing, man?

There's a lot going on, watch-wise.

There is. We are in a golden freaking age.

It really is.

There's so much stuff.

I'm not missing half of this stuff.

I wrapped up Wheel of Time last night and as an avid reader of the books,

I was not dismayed by the first couple of episodes,

but I was not...

I didn't feel like...

Game of Thrones, the first three episodes,

I was like, oh my god, this is the book.

I was like, this is awesome, this is perfect.

First three episodes of Wheel of Time,

I was just kind of like, okay.

So I wavered on watching the fourth one.

Watched the fourth one about a week ago

and then binge-watched the rest of them.

It ends...

The last back half of that season is really, really good.

And really, it's not...

It's really, really good.

I'm impressed with it and I'm eager to see them make more

and I'm happy that they signed on for more seasons

even before the season started.

I don't know the books and so

it was all fresh to me. I thought it was fun.

Certainly no Game of Thrones, but then

that's lightning in a bottle, forget it.

Yeah, totally. You can't do that.

I don't know those books either, but it was enjoyable.

You can see the budget shining through here versus Game of Thrones.

This has a good budget, but it's not a Game of Thrones.

Yeah, it's not remotely fair to say,

who knew Game of Thrones?

But it's the most direct comparison you can have

based on the books, based on

the high fantasy elements of it.

Yeah.

Again, the back half was good.

I shouldn't have squandered and

I should have kept pressing on with it, but I didn't.

Well, you're going to have to, for the next podcast,

you're going to have to watch What If

so we can discuss. There are a couple

of really, really awesome

episodes. It ends very strong.

I'm not going to spoil anything, but

there's one episode in particular about Doctor Strange.

That's why I brought it up. That was good.

What If is not

canon, right? I mean, it's completely separate.

It's a video of Star Wars Visions.

I thought

that was the case, but I don't know.

Some of the things I see,

specifically about Multiverse of Madness coming out.

That's really three but the other two guys they they both

waited to watch it and they both had pretty much same opinion

you're having and I was wondering why they waited to watch

it, but also to I think Eternals came out in a weird holiday

lol kind of thing where well, I plan to theater.

No, I plan to go see it.

No, that I was I was all vaxxed up still got it.

But anyway, I planned to see it.

That's that's typically what I do with Marvel movies treat

myself and then I started hearing, you know, the review.

No, you can't you can't you can't listen to that.

You can't listen to that.

I know but they did it.

They settled in it's like well, no, it's gonna be on Disney+

Plus.

Yeah.

No, that's it's not it's not the same thing as Spider-Man.

So it's not but but that being said it Marvel and Disney+ get

the automatic watches for me.

They get the automatic attempts to get there quick that being

said haven't seemed like what I get but they still get the

attempts to get there and watch them.

So I you know, yeah, I understand that our Star Wars.

Definitely Star Wars definitely gets up there.

But that being said usually the Marvel movies do and they

to this day really haven't disappointed.

I mean, I'm been happy but all right, let's talk.

It's the other half the dad half is in all it's so good.

But the kids turn around start getting stuff out of the

car.

My wife just just just turns and looks at the cashier and

just hold your mouth and you're just like, please, please,

please.

And now actually Oprah doesn't I don't think she does her

magazine anymore.

I think you know, the the Joanna Gaines lady the she so

she's got everything where she's usually like over so I

tried to with her magazine now, but yeah, it's always fun.
