As a Weequay pirate and bounty hunter, Alama is known for his ruthiness and stoicism, decorated by an intricate web of scars across his face. Alama's name and face would find further notoriety when he partnered with notorious train-robber and bounty hunter Cad Bane.

Born on the Outer Rim planet of Sriluur, a hub for the Weequay species, Shahan Alama's life was one constantly surrounded by chaos and disorder. Under this environment, the future bounty hunter honed his skills and developed his distinctive fighting style. Alama is often seen wielding a BlasTech Industries DL-21 blaster pistol, a firm testament to his unyielding and brave spirit.

Alama's alliance with Cad Bane, a Duros bounty hunter, increased his notoriety in the larger galaxy.
