Fennec Shand is a skilled assassin and mercenary in the Star Wars universe. Portrayed by actress Ming-Na Wen, the character made her debut in 2019 in the live-action television series "The Mandalorian." Originally hailing from an unknown planet, Fennec Shand's reputation as a well-respected and feared mercenary became well-known across the galaxy. She is infamous for her expertise in taking on high-profile targets, including leaders of crime syndicates, politicians, and other high-value bounties.

In the first season of "The Mandalorian," Fennec Shand appears as a primary antagonist in Chapter 5, titled "The Gunslinger." In this episode, the Mandalorian (Din Djarin) teams up with a novice bounty hunter named Toro Calican to track down and capture Fennec Shand on the desert planet of Tatooine. After an intense battle, Calican betrays the Mandalorian and attempts to bring Shand in himself, but she manages to outsmart and kill him. However, Shand is left for dead in the desert by the Mandalorian before being discovered by the enigmatic Boba Fett.

Fennec Shand makes her surprising return in the second season of "The Mandalorian" in Chapter 14: "The Tragedy." Revealing that she was saved by the iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett, Shand now has a cybernetic implant to replace her damaged midsection caused by the events on Tatooine. Now indebted to Fett, she and the Mandalorian join forces to retrieve an important asset, Grogu.

Throughout the rest of the second season, Fennec Shand continues to work alongside Boba Fett and the Mandalorian, proving her loyalty and showcasing her skills as a sharpshooter, hand-to-hand combatant, and tactician. Together, they face various threats in their quest to protect the young Grogu, including the Imperial remnant forces led by Moff Gideon.

At the end of the second season of "The Mandalorian," it is revealed that the character of Fennec Shand will continue to appear in the upcoming "Star Wars" television series, "The Book of Boba Fett." Shand's partnership with the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter will undoubtedly lead to new adventures and missions.
