The Eogians are a lesser-known species in the Star Wars universe, having made only minor appearances in expanded universe materials. They are an alien species native to the planet Eogia, which is located in the Outer Rim Territories. As a species, the Eogians are tall and lanky in appearance, with elongated limbs and thin bodies. They have elongated skulls, and their skin appears to be a mix of green and yellow hues. Due to their limited presence in the Star Wars universe, not much is known about their culture, society, or technological advancements.
While the Eogians did not appear in any of the main Star Wars film or television series, they did make appearances in several books and comic series. Most notably, the Eogians were featured in the Star Wars comic book series published by Marvel Comics, titled "Lando (2015)." In this series, Lando Calrissian, the smooth-talking gambler and later General of the Rebel Alliance, made a deal with one of the Eogians to prevent an assassination attempt on himself. Another appearance in comics comes from "Adventures in Wild Space: The Steal" where their homeworld, Eogia, plays a part in providing a location for a heist plot.
Although not much is known about the Eogians' society or culture, it can be inferred from their brief appearances that they possess some level of technological prowess. For instance, the Eogian in the Lando comic is seen to be well-armed and capable in firearms, while their homeworld of Eogia appears to be advanced enough to attract the attention of the Galactic Empire.
Despite their limited presence in the Star Wars universe, the Eogians offer a glimpse into the vast and diverse array of alien species that populate the galaxy. Their mysterious nature and sparse appearances provide opportunities for storytellers and fans to create new stories and speculate on the possibilities of this alien race.
Unfortunately, with the Disney+ acquisition of the Star Wars franchise and the subsequent designation of the expanded universe materials as "Legends," some elements of the Eogians' story have been lost in canonical limbo. This means that the Eogians, like many other species from the expanded universe, might no longer be considered a "true" part of the Star Wars universe.
However, this doesn't mean that the Eogians may not be revived or reintroduced in future Star Wars projects. As the franchise continues to grow and expand with new films, television series, books, and comics, there is always the potential for obscure and lesser-known species like the Eogians to be brought back into the fold and explored in greater depth.
the Eogians are an intriguing and mysterious species, with great potential for expansion and development within the ever-growing Star Wars universe. Their limited appearances have left fans wanting more, and their unique appearance adds another layer of diversity to the rich tapestry of alien species that inhabit the galaxy far, far away.
