Booster Terrik is a fictional character in the Star Wars Extended Universe, first appearing in the book "X-wing: Rogue Squadron" by Michael A. Stackpole. Originally a smuggler and pirate, Terrik became a successful space merchant and ship captain after spending nearly two decades in a notorious Imperial prison. Terrik is also the biological father of Mirax Terrik, ally and wife of Corran Horn, and the adoptive father of Horn's astromech droid, Whistler.
Famed for his gruff demeanor and strong-willed nature, Terrik is also well-known for his independent freighter, the Errant Venture. A captured Imperial Star Destroyer, the Errant Venture was known for being the only Star Destroyer in the galaxy to have a bright red hue. The freighter was a renowned hub of black market trade, intelligence, and an unofficial gathering point for the Rebellion; despite its informal status, it played a significant role in many battles against the Imperial forces.
Defying the typical ally stereotype, Booster Terrik's relationship with the Rebellion has always been one of mutual benefit rather than loyalty or devotion. As a smuggler, he leveraged his work for the Rebellion to stay on the right side of legality. This attitude earned him both allies and enemies within the Rebellion. Regardless, his contributions were always valuable, making him an indispensable asset in the struggle against the Empire.
