Toong

The Toong is a lesser-known species in the Star Wars universe, originating from the planet Tund. Physically, Toongs are fairly distinct, depicted with elongated bodies, small heads, and large, round eyes situated at the ends of stalks. They possess a unique skeletal structure, which allows them to bend and contort their bodies in unusual ways. Their arms end in three-fingered hands and they have very stubby legs.

In Star Wars lore, the Toong are often regarded as clumsy and awkward. In large part, this is due to their odd physical shape and structure, which makes it seem as though they are always off-balance. Despite their apparent awkwardness, Toongs are able to move very rapidly when necessary. This species does not play a major role in the Star Wars films, but they appear in ancillary works and materials related to the franchise. Most notably, the character Ben Quadinaros, who appears in The Phantom Menace, is a Toong.
