Talpini

The Talpini are a warm-blooded, mammalian species that hail from the world of Talpini, a planet located in the Outer Rim Territories in the Star Wars universe. Possessing humanoid-like traits, the Talpini people are identifiable by their short stature, fur-covered bodies, long ears, and prominent two front teeth. Not much is detailed about their culture or society, however, they are known for their proficiency in mechanical repairs and modifications. These characteristics have led certain Talpini individuals to become popular as starship mechanics, a notable example being Sarco Plank.

In the Star Wars canon, Talpini make appearances in "The Force Awakens", with one notable character, Sarco Plank. Interestingly, Sarco Plank became a hide trader and gun-runner, deviating from the typical mechanical inclinations of his species. Despite their limited exposure in the franchise, the Talpini contribute to the rich tapestry of diverse species that inhabit the expansive Star Wars galaxy.
