The Octuptarra combat tri-droid was a lethal model of battle droid deployed by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Clone Wars. This towering mechanical warfare device was developed by the Techno Union, combining extreme functionality with an imposing presence on the battlefield. Named for the Octuptarra magna tri-droids that served as its inspiration, these droids proved a menacing adversary to the Jedi and their clone armies.

An Octuptarra combat tri-droid featured a unique design, with three elongated and flexible metallic tentacles serving as the legs that also housed several powerful laser cannons capable of 360-degree rotation. The spherical body at the center of these tentacles contained the droid's primary sensory and processing systems. This tri-legged design gave the droid stability and agility over different terrains.

Measuring approximately 3.5 meters in height, the Octuptarra combat tri-droid's distinguishing feature was its most potent weapon systems. The tri-droid was fitted with multiple laser cannons that allowed for versatile use in the field, capable of taking on both air and ground targets. These cannons were capable of rapid-fire, a characteristic that made them particularly deadly in large-scale battles.

The Octuptarra tri-droids played a significant role in various battles during the Clone Wars. Notably, they were deployed in the Battle of Christophsis and the Battle of Mygeeto, where their firepower and durability made them a force to be reckoned with. Despite their effectiveness in battle, these droids were ultimately defeated as the Separatist Droid Army was deactivated with the end of the Clone Wars.
