Nosaurian

The Nosaurians are a sentient species originating from the planet New Plympto in the Star Wars universe. Sturdy, bipedal, and covered in leathery skin, they appear reptilian and have several avian traits, including crests rising from their skulls, sharp talons, and a beak-like mouth. Their unique physical characteristic is an interesting mechanism that allows them to spit a particularly potent alcohol which they can ignite, using a specialized chemical only they produce, to use as a defensive mechanism.

In terms of lore, the Nosaurians have an intense history marked by the Galactic Empire's oppression. They led a revolt against the Empire's forces but were ruthlessly crushed, resulting in their enslavement and New Plympto being strip-mined for resources. Some surviving Nosaurians scattered in the Galaxy becoming bounty hunters, smugglers, or refugees among other species. They are best known in the Star Wars universe through the character Bomo Greenbark, a Nosaurian member of the crew of the Uhumele, introduced in the comic series Star Wars: Dark Times.
