Kubaz

The Kubaz are a species of sentient, insectivorous beings who hail from the planet Kubindi, which is located in the Outer Rim Territories in the Star Wars universe. Originally introduced in "Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope," the most famous Kubaz character is Garindan ezz Zavor, who betrayed Han Solo and Chewbacca's location to Imperial forces. Known for their distinctive long snouts and deep-set eyes, which are protected by dark, googles-like eyewear, the Kubaz are adept at mechanical repair and maintenance, making them highly useful as engineers and mechanics.

Within the society of the Kubaz, they are renowned for their fine-tuned emotional sensitivity, which is facilitated by a combination of pheromonal communication and body language. Despite their omnivorous diet, their diet consists primarily of insects, leading to the development of a rich cultural tradition related to the breeding and cooking of various insect species.
