Gamorrean

The Gamorreans are a species of pig-like sentient creatures from the Star Wars universe. They originate from the Outer Rim planet of Gamorr and are known for their strength, loyalty as well as their limited intellect. Covered in porcine features, their bodies are bulky, with much of their mass consisting of fat and muscle. Their skin colouration ranges from dark green to lighter shades. They possess a snouted nose, small square teeth, and tusks jutting from the lower jaw. Their eyes are usually gloomy, small, and yellowish.

Generally, Gamorreans are hired for physical labor or as mercenaries and are well-known for their roles as security in the palace of crime lord Jabba the Hutt. Despite their brutish veneer, Gamorrean society follows strict clan affiliations, with males and females largely living separately except for mating times. Their language, Gamorrese, is understood only by a few beyond their species because of their difficult articulation. On-screen, they first appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.
