Fosh

The Fosh were an avian species native to the planet Fos. They were beloved for their vibrant and colorful plumage, which they used to express their emotions with a kaleidoscope of changing hues and patterns. Fosh were unique because they were capable of instinctive Force manipulation, something that led to the creation of Jedi Knight Vergere in the Expanded Universe. Despite their relatively small stature, Fosh were known for their agility and quick reflexes. They had extensive family units and an affectionate, communal social structure that was relatively rare among sentient species.

Further, the Fosh were pacifist, ascribing to non-interventions in violent conflicts. They did not possess an organized military and their technology largely revolved around benign pursuits, such as the arts and sciences. In the Expanded Universe, Fosh held libertarian beliefs and had few laws, believing that individuals had the right to determine their own path in life. The character of Vergere is particularly well-known among Star Wars fans for her idiosyncratic beliefs and unique, often enigmatic approach to The Force.
