Damask Holdings

Damask Holdings was an influential organization during the existence of the Galactic Republic. It was primarily a collection of funds and corporations headed by Hego Damask, known also as Darth Plagueis, a Sith Lord who manipulated the galaxy's economic and political landscapes to ensure the Sith's ultimate ascension. Plagueis used Damask Holdings as a means to train his Apprentice, Darth Sidious, in statecraft and the subtle manipulation of political, economic, and criminal elements.

The organization was headquartered on the moon of Sojourn where Damask resided and held annual gatherings with influential beings from across the galaxy. The holdings included banks, communication companies, and mining corporations amongst other things. Hego Damask used it not just for wealth, but also to manipulate and control key elements of the Galactic economy. Although it was not overtly connected to the Sith, many of their operations were subtly guided by Hego Damask’s Sith philosophies and ambitions.

Damask Holdings played a crucial role in the creation of the clone army that would eventually be used by the Sith to decimate the Jedi Order and consolidate control over the Galaxy. They also played a significant part in negotiating political alliances, such as the one with the Trade Federation that eventually led to the Naboo Crisis. Following the death of Darth Plagueis, it can be speculated that Darth Sidious likely took control of the organization, using it to further his own ends and ultimately build the Galactic Empire.
