Battle of Yerbana

The Battle of Yerbana was a rather crucial conflict that occurred in the Star Wars universe, specifically during the time of The Clone Wars. This engagement was part of a much larger conflict known as the Outer Rim Sieges, which were a series of battles that took place primarily in the Outer Rim Territories. The sequence of these events can be traced in Season 7 of the animated series 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'.

Commander Cody and his 212th Attack Battalion, were assigned to the planet Yerbana as part of the Galactic Republic's efforts to secure strategic locations around the Outer Rim Territories. This battle saw some notable moments, including Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi playfully mocking the battle droids' loyalty by asking them to surrender on the grounds of their imminent defeat. However, the main highlight of this battle and indeed the entire Siege was when Commander Cody received a transmission from Coruscant indicating that the Supreme Chancellor had been abducted by General Grievous.

Following this update, the now famed Order 66 was issued. This edict from Emperor Palpatine, under the guise of ensuring the safety of the Republic, commanded all clone troops to turn on their Jedi generals. With the issuance of Order 66, the battle on Yerbana abruptly ended, and the galaxy was irrevocably shifted towards the ominous rule of the Galactic Empire.
