but maybe he'll be even more mellower once we figure out what beers we're drinking.

I'm ready to dive into the beer. I'm excited about my beer a little bit.

So I am going to enjoy Pipeworks out of Chicago.

I've always heard it that way. I don't actually know what it comes from.

It's from some Japanese show or something.

Never heard that one. Honestly. You did it and I was just like, okay, cool.

It's probably something from the 80s that's horribly racist now.

Big pizza. I'm like, oh, delicious pizza.

Bang bang works too. I didn't know if it was a thing that I just missed or not.

But okay, cool.

I really should look up what I'm quoting because if it's something like that.

It's one thing if you're telling it to like the 3000 listeners that we have.

It's another if you just say it like a casual conversation.

It was my private little in-house joke and now I give it to the world.

I'm going to name my beer now. It's delightful Dortmunder.

It's a Dortmunder. That might be the first Dortmunder we've had on the show.

I decided. I'm pretty sure it is.

I decided that, you know, we tend to do as most people do in craft beer nowadays, a lot of IPAs.

We do. I agree with that. Quite a few IPAs.

And so although you did one several pods ago that was a Dunkle, I think.

Yeah, it was a Dunkle.

Yeah, so you've strayed from the path.

I did. I did. And I did the Dunkle while it was still cold a little bit.

Just because it's the Dunkle. That's the Dunkle feel.

Getting into the hot summer.

You know, I think this year I'm going to take your advice and kind of lay off the IPAs a little bit.

And go a little bit more like, I don't know, just like session-y or something.

I don't know. Anyways, I'm excited to hear about your beer. I went off on the tangent there.

That's really all I have to say. The highlight was Chicago, bang bang.

And it's a Dortmunder and now your beer, please.

I'm excited about the Dortmunder, just to have a Dortmunder on the show.

I am drinking Cosmic Crown. Have you heard this?

Cosmic Crown. It's Cigar City Brewing from down in Florida. They're down in Tampa, I think.

And it's a Belgian-style strong golden ale.

So it's Belgian, but it's also golden. And I'm hoping that this 9.5% bad boy is not going to be super hoppy.

It's going to be a little bit more mellow. Mellow just because it's really kind of a golden ale.

Yeah. It shouldn't be hoppy. I am completely jealous right now.

Yeah, I've got one for you. I'll bring some by. They look very, very good. And I'm excited about them.

Don't get me wrong. There's times that I really like the hoppiness.

But here lately, I feel like I've just been getting overload, especially when you get a little bit...

I mean, we've got our Gold Monkey and all those kind of good guys.

I was at our favorite store the other day when I was picking up this Dortmunder.

And I think I set a new record. A visual record.

There was a four pack. And I meant to note what the beer was. I forgot.

30 bucks.

A four pack?

A four pack.

So, again, and I think we've maybe even talked about this on the show.

I'm outraged. I am crazy. I am about to go tweet about it.

But then I think, wait, four for... that's $7.50 a beer.

That's kind of what we pay when we go out to eat a lot of times.

I know that. I do the same math in my head.

I know I do, too.

It's... it's... it's $30. Dropping $30.

And our favorite place is very... it's local.

I mean, it's a varied type of person going in there.

And I don't know if I want to be the guy that walks out with a four pack of beer for $30.

You know what I mean?

Right.

Everybody's going to be like, really? $30 for a four pack?

I don't know. I don't know.

They should they should cheer you as you leave the store. Yeah! Somebody finally! He bought one! He bought one!

Yeah, I don't know. It's just that that seems absurd to me, and I won't do it on principle, but I totally understand the

the I don't know if I'd call it irony, but the

Laughability of the fact that I probably pay some day bucks if I go to a drink beer restaurant, so I don't know.

Yeah, I don't know why that's different because it's not really not different, but it seems different.

It does it does because you're enjoying the meal and you're enjoying it may be fresh

Maybe out of a keg too, which may be a little bit of an edge for that, but for for 30 bucks

Let's discuss the the first episode Cargo of Doom

This is where city steals the holocron and if you weren't listening to our last podcast

We did two episodes last podcast and the very first episode which is actually a season 2 episode 1

Was on our last podcast. So these we got lucky in that these two episodes 2 & 3

We the whole series we got introduced to Cad Bane, you know in Clone Wars since the season 2 and

Yeah, what'd you think? What'd you think about Cargo of Doom cities has got the Hawker on there on the chase

Well, I I right off the bat you start with a fairly brutal

murder

Yeah of the Jedi guy. Yeah, we're not playing around anymore. I mean, that's like

Yes, why I wrote in my notes. This is a kid show. Yeah. Well, no, not just like they also skipped a little bit

Which I don't know that I like I feel like they may have

Wanted to put this part of the story in there, but if you remember at the end of the last episode

The guy says he's going after Bala Rappal and everybody. Yeah, Bala Rappal and then when this episode starts

Bala Rappal's already dead and

He's going to find this other guy. What's this guy's name?

Is this Bala?

Not know that yeah, that's who that was. Yeah, but I did feel like they skipped they skipped the part about capturing the Jedi

They already have him reader. Yeah, they already have it in the in here. I

Advanced a plot. I have no problem with that

Yeah, I thought we were gonna be introduced to him and the Jedi might try to save him or get around him

But yes, he was cut that's all fluff. Cut it. Cut it. Yeah. All right, Mike. All right

So yeah, I felt like it was really good

I felt like I enjoyed the story a lot more than I think those last two arcs in season one

Yeah, and it was definitely it was definitely I don't know if the budget went up maybe for this season or not

But I felt like the drawing was really well done too. Like it was you always say that it was I felt like it was

A step up like I don't know

I just felt like there was more detail in some of the scenes and again

I think this probably happens at the beginning of each season because they have you know

They have a time frame that they can

Work on the first ten or something like that and then they're catching up with a lack the last ten of the back half

I suspect that the better the writing the the more intense the action the more engaging the story

your mental camera

Enhances, okay. I'll agree with that. I'll agree with that. Yeah, I think that's what's going on

Yeah, I mean when you get spacesuits Jedi and spacesuits, it always intrigue don't get me started

Why do they need helmets those two twins didn't need helmets on their Star Destroyer? That's Asians. That's somebody else's vision John

But yes, I agree. Like I well, I don't know. I don't know if some of these the two soaking them can't definitely but but I

Enjoy, how are they walking? How are they walking?

It's the same things the walkers man. Okay, but so he deactivates the magnets jumps Jedi jumps up slices a droid and then

reactivates the magnets which

Hurl him back to the deck. Yeah, sure. I

Actually thought because this is similar to the infamous bomber problem in Last Jedi

Yeah, I hear that. Maybe the artificial gravity in the ship it the conceit and it's a conceit but the conceit is that okay

Well, they're on top of the ship. So they're still in the gravity field. Maybe yeah, like a like a like a minor minor planet

And they can still but but whenever they whenever they give them the crawl whatever Anakin says

We're taking the crawlers or something like that.

They're landing crawlers and does he mention the magnet whenever he's?

Someone does say something about magnet.

I feel like there was a magnet.

Yeah, like they can magnetically stick onto it.

And of course, they weren't built for the ship or anything like that.

But that's the whole thing.

And of course, it would end up being the perfect thing to decide.

Yeah, I think it's got a little getting a little attitude, though.

Did you pick up on? Oh, yeah.

Yeah, there was there was more of an attitude now with him

interacting with the admiral.

Yeah, well, that's that's kind of my thing, too, is that like

he doesn't care, neither him nor Soko or any of the Jedi

don't care anything about these clones, except for like maybe one or two

specifically.

And then all the others, they're just willing to let them lie.

Like they don't mean whatever.

And now it's almost like he doesn't care about the admiral.

He's just like, no, no, I'm leading this.

You sit back like I thought there was a definite edge there.

Yeah, I agree with that. I totally agree with that.

And I don't know if but that.

OK, so then again, let's go back to the last big arc that we had.

Rylot, I think, was the last big arc that we had in season one.

Remember when they let Ahsoka take that ship and just,

you know, she she burns one.

There's two big battleships. She destroys one.

And then they learn to take the whole reins for all of it.

So they just don't care about the actual clone clone troopers.

They're just you know, they're part of the they're part of the resources for the war.

I think I could argue that it's either they don't care about the clones

or they're just as we discussed on a recent podcast, they're just bad generals.

Yeah, agreed. Yeah.

Yeah. They weren't made for this at all.

You know, like nobody knows what's going on. Yoda tries.

But but in the end, you know, Kenobi is not

not a bad.

Thus far, we haven't really followed Kenobi that much,

except for the ones that he's been in with Windu and stuff like that.

And those are cool. I mean, those were good.

And that kind of showed to me that kind of showed, especially

that we were talking about the one with Windu where, you know, all the guys

are racing across the bridge just hoping that he cuts it on, you know,

that kind of situations.

I think they respect Windu and I think that they respect Kenobi.

The question is, is our Anakin and Ahsoka in those same graces?

I mean, definitely the ones that they always take with them on their teams.

Sure. But I mean, just in general throughout the army, I would love

that they would they just had like an episode where it's just some clone

troopers like like just just like that's no sketch, just talking at the lunch table

and just hearing what they're talking about.

Like, you know, just like, yeah, this is terrible.

Like I saw like three guys die. It was nothing.

You know, you know what I mean? Like that'd be kind of neat.

And maybe they're trained not to.

Maybe they're trained that they don't talk about that kind of stuff.

Clone Trooper, PTSD, PTSD therapy sessions.

Yeah, yeah. Or just like or just like just talking around and like, you know,

in the locker room. So I don't know.

I'm just saying like like I'd love to hear what the the basic Stormtrooper

and there may be some stories in some of those compendium

compendium novels that we haven't gotten to yet about like stories

of the light and dark and that kind of stuff.

But I would. Don't you get it?

My whole family was on that Death Star.

I talked to guy that told me to give you this a card.

Yeah, I don't know. I don't know.

I don't know how I'd love to be a fly on the wall.

That'd be kind of neat.

But as for the episode as a whole, I thought it was really well done.

I liked it. I enjoy this arc.

The well, the funny thing is here I'm complaining about, you know,

how are they walking on the surface of the ship

when they do that Zero G fight? Yeah, that's cool.

Oh, it was awesome. That that's super fun.

Yeah, that was absolutely awesome.

And and I think that's what I'm going to do.

And I don't necessarily understand why so many of those

missiles or or bomb barrels

are just kind of all kept around hanging out.

You know what I mean?

Like you'd think that they'd have better precautions than that.

It's a warship. Eric.

I understand that. But I'm just kind of like, you know, what if something,

you know, just happens we drop something that everybody's gone.

You know what I mean?

It's just kind of like, OK, well, this is where we're at.

I just like an aircraft carrier, you know what I mean?

You gotta put him somewhere.

Yeah, agreed.

And I also was, uh, enjoyed the, well I shouldn't say enjoyed, but the fact that Bane was so

brutal just right off the front bat, I loved it.

I thought that was good.

Because you're just like, this guy does not care.

He is there to make his money and go home.

You know what I mean?

Yeah.

And I appreciated that.

Right, because this is the continuing introduction of this character, so yes, he has to be brutal

and at the same time verging on unstoppable, like always a step ahead or at least half

a step ahead.

And he was to a point, I mean throughout this whole series.

Let's start, do you want to start talking about the next episode?

Well, to end this one, what did you think about the fake out at the end?

When you say the fake out, do you mean where he led the Jedi to him?

Or do you mean the one where he kind of leaves the ship, how he leaves the ship?

How he leaves the ship.

Yeah, I thought it was good.

I mean, you kind of, you know, from the viewer's perspective, you can tell the whole time.

I don't necessarily understand how Anakin wouldn't have known.

You know what I mean?

Like, I feel like he can kind of like...

Doesn't he say though, like I still feel him, he's supposed to be dead, but I still feel

his presence.

They acted, to pull this off, to pull this off, they kind of acted a little dumb.

Yeah, I think that's what I'm getting at.

It feels like somebody that's that evil, he would sin.

Maybe he can't do that. I don't know.

No, they stated it outright.

I still feel his presence.

It was either Harambe or Sokka or somebody.

It was him talking to Sokka.

So they had to kind of, like, I still feel his presence.

Okay, one plus one, can you add him up?

Well, but we also got to get off the ship and he could still be on the ship.

The ship had already blown up by that point.

They called him dead. They said he's dead. He's vaporized.

But I still feel his presence.

Yeah, you know, maybe use some logic there, buddy. Reason that through.

So where does he keep the hat and where does he keep the holocron?

Okay, I love that you said that about the hat because that was my very next note was where does he get his hat?

Yeah, yeah. Like, he can't lose that hat.

He's got to fold that thing up and like put it between his thighs or something.

I mean, is that or does he put it like a sling or something underneath his arm?

I mean, he's got to have that hat.

And then also, too, the holocron, it's not a small device either.

Well, that can fit in certain spots.

I mean, yeah, I don't know. It also glows, but whatever.

I mean, excuse me. Also, too, you would think that Anakin would feel the holocron.

Oh, can they sense that? I didn't know that.

I would think that they could, but maybe I'm wrong because if you remember from the first episode,

Yoda and them walk in there and it takes them a second to notice that one of the holocrons is missing.

So, oh, but that's that's like one voice missing from a chorus.

Yeah, that's true. Yeah, I don't know.

I don't know. They can sense it or not, depending on what the plot needs.

Yeah, well, yeah, it's bendable based on whatever.

But what have you? Overall, I enjoyed this episode.

I really did. This is this has been probably my favorite arc thus far.

And we're not even talking about the third one yet.

Shall we move on to the third one?

And so the last episode of the arc, it again reemphasized kind of the brutality.

I mean, we've already we've already killed Malal, Rapal, and in a pretty brutal fashion,

to be honest with you, Bang gets off the clone trooper ships and kind of runs away and jumps on another ship

and flies out of the galaxy. And then we get Bane starting to scoop up kids.

I mean, we got that. That was that's pretty again.

Children's show aimed at children. We got him stealing babies. He's, you know, tasked with going and grabbing four different babies from Sidious.

And you're like, oh, these babies aren't going to do very well.

And he tricks that way. He tricks the one mom, you know, pretty, pretty quickly.

And it's like, would you trust the blue guy, you know, saying, well, he had it.

I know he had hypnotized. Yeah, that was she. She didn't fall for it, actually.

He hypnotized her because she was still mesmerized by the time the Jedi got there.

Oh, I didn't catch it. I didn't catch that part. I'm sorry. I totally missed that.

And if that hadn't worked, what do you think he was going to do?

So did he actually use like a mind trick on her?

Yeah, it's like spinning lights. Hypnotic thing.

Oh, OK. Not not a Jedi mind trick, just a mechanical hypnosis.

Oh, that's right. He had the device. That's right. OK, OK.

I know what you're talking about now. For some reason, I thought because I'm seeing images of him in that cloak, like talking to her, like like he's the Jedi.

And you're right. He did have that device. They kind of like. Yeah, you're right. You're right.

Yeah, I don't know. We got Bane stealing babies. I think it's a big deal.

That's a big that's a big step forward for the show, you know?

Well, that was. But the next level up from that was Palpatine, of course, saying, I don't care if it kills him or, you know, whatever.

Do it. Do the operation. Yeah, I'll pay you. I'll pay you.

That was that was properly, properly evil.

I enjoy his little his little 3D force goes to moving around the nursery.

Like, don't you think every mom wants that? Like, I can sit down here on the couch.

He's kind of like, you know, I'm fine. It's OK. You don't need to cry.

You have like a little holocron of a helicopter. You'd be a proper helicopter mom.

Put your hand on them while they're taking a test at school in the shoulder. You got this. You got this.

Quit following me, mom.

Seriously, that's a way to screw up someone. Yeah. Oh, that's terrible.

Yeah, that's absolutely terrible. That's a mind mess right there.

But but yeah, so, so, you know, by the end of the by the end of the episode, I think they closed it out well.

Now the rescue on Mustafar. Yeah, that was was very, yes, very tense.

You know, it's going to happen, but it was still well done.

Good tension. Good action. Of course, the good guys win.

So, yeah. Yeah. And which you which you always do. It was going to happen.

But I would have had a lot more respect for this series if, you know, maybe one of the babies just one like slipped in the lava.

That's just like a that's like a.

So, yeah, we go, we go for guys are playing for kids.

It's like, oh, it's like robot throws them into the lava.

It's like, oh, my God, this is getting I actually was a moment where I thought that's where it was going.

There was a moment where the robot kind of.

I thought had an expression or something or is going to act like I you know you want this baby. I'm throwing a lava.

But that didn't happen. But no obviously I'm joking. But yeah.

Yeah. That was a little. They were very old nursery people like. Oh man. That just seems like so.

And then the babies are like so he's big eyes and everything. And you're just like oh man this is kind of crazy.

But I did like whenever they were.

Sorry. But again they return to curse on at the end of it. And they're talking with Yoda and Yoda still doesn't find anything like he like you know he knows something's wrong but he just has no clue.

You know I mean like he has no clue what's going on. I mean you got the guy that's literally four buildings over stealing babies.

And speaking of that the when they send Anakin back to to meet with the chancellor that was that was very I really liked that because it was the first time I really sensed it.

Something really ominous. You know there's more to this conversation than you can see on the surface.

Would you remember that. You remember that comic we read where Anakin goes over to Palpatine's thing and he or his office and don't they go down to like like the lower levels and he takes him around.

He's like you can see over there that Senator blah blah blah playing poker. So do you remember that. Do you remember that comic that we read.

I it was it was very early. It was very very early in the series and I wasn't that wasn't Anakin. That was Darth Maul.

Was it Maul. I felt like it was Anakin like it was maybe in like the beginning of the Anakin Obi-Wan series.

Remember the five comics we read that were drawn amazing. There were the Anakin and Obi-Wan comic series.

I thought that was OK. Maybe I'm. Yeah I feel like it was the first issue of that.

And it just shows Anakin going with Palpatine and they go to lower levels and they're like you know this is where the the scum of the earth live blah blah blah.

He's like but look there's Senator blah blah blah. There's representative blah blah blah. Yeah. No I remember all of that.

Just I'm having a blur on what the other character was who the other character was.

Yeah. And then and then I forget what happens after that. But still I mean you know it was just kind of like it felt like one of those moments where you're like so these dudes are just like friends.

You know like they're just like they're meeting up and having coffee and drinking a beer every now and then.

I mean it's kind of like OK. Well you know you kind of see it coming. But yeah it was a good arc.

I think I think this is my favorite arc so far. I need you to come up with your arc score. The entire arc 100 arc score arc score score.

I'm going to give this one high. Wait let me think. I need you to give me a number. Don't give me a range. Don't give me a range. I need a number.

I'm trying to see I'm trying to see. I'm trying to see where you're going on this one. I'm trying to see where you're going on this one.

I really want to say an 88. I had 86. So we're close. We're close. OK. Yeah. It was good. It was it was very good.

It was very definitely my favorite arc so far. The Ryloth arc was good. I enjoyed it in series one or season one.

But but this one was pretty good. I really enjoyed this one. I thought it was good. And I think the introduction to Cad Bane you know that kind of

not our introduction to Cad Bane but I'm saying like the introduction into the canon of Cad Bane was well not taking the new canon.

The introduction of Cad Bane was was pretty good. I enjoyed that. I thought it was I thought it was done really well and showed how much of a bastard he is.

I mean he really is like it's really good. It shows how much you know Palpatine now you know gloves are off.

I feel like with Tyranus he was always just kind of like well we still have to be regal about things.

But yes we're bad people but we still have to follow kind of cadence and rules and then with Bane Bane's just his guy that he's like dude just get this done.

I don't care how you do it. You know just I'll pay you what you want what you need to get paid and we're good.

All right. So next week we'll we'll jump on two more episodes and then also cover that comic that we didn't cover that we mentioned last week.

Five oh one plus one which is a story out of the Age of the Republic annual comic which we'll discuss next week.

They were different styles of anime different genres sub genres of anime. OK. Well let's wait let's wait. Let's wait.

I do want. Yes I thought about visions a couple days ago actually or maybe a week ago and wondered where do we live off of that because we have a ways to go.

Yeah we did. There's eight total episodes and then all of them are.

I think on the podcast I bought that Ronin book.

So we may have to dive into that at some point when we get a little bored with more Clone Wars episodes.

And I mean, this is not giving anything away. It's right there in the promo. It's right there up front.

He has a huge ranch and he goes out there and he finds a hole.

So it's all about the hole. What's the deal with the hole?

And it's as much family drama and stuff like that as it is these weird things that happen regarding the hole.

Like you watched, did you watch Tales from the Loop? You watched that, didn't you?

Yes. I did think about that.

Is it similar?

Well, it has a properly kind of creepiness to it.

Nothing like Loop. That was out there.

Yeah, that was out there. And also, too, it was almost like five or six stories within one town.

Not necessarily one continuous story, which the vibe that I got from when I did see, I think it was the trailer for this series, now that I remember.

When you said Josh Brolin, I remembered it. It seemed like a contiguous story.

This is a direct storyline. Not an anthology like Loop.

Yeah, Loop. There you go.

But this is lost in Wyoming.

Oh, now you've come to that.

It's got a real lost vibe. I mean, strong lost vibe going on.

And is it coming out weekly or Amazon Prime sometimes?

It's out now. Season one, it was released weekly, but it's all out now.

Yes. Okay.

So season one is wrapped. It's got good cliffhangers.

And I looked it up immediately. It's like, season two, when's that coming out?

And there's no decision yet. When I looked at it, whether there will be a season two.

And I want a season two, but I want a season two if they know what the hell they're doing.

You think it might just be free form and they were just kind of throwing things at each other?

Yeah. And I really wonder, especially after reading all the stock news this week with Netflix

and how they hit way under what they were supposed to hit and there's going to be show cancellations coming up.

I really wonder how sci-fi shows are going to fare.

It feels like movies where there's not going to be much experimentation. You know what I mean?

You just can't afford, budget-wise, to put so much money into something like Tales from the Loop

and then not have it pan out.

And you could get by with a women's drama and get way more eyes on it and satisfy the customer.

I just really hope that sci-fi shows, both at Netflix and you assume Amazon is probably going to follow scope and everything,

don't take the brunt.

It makes you wonder because I just can't see how a show like this, which again, is very well done.

It's well made, it is very nicely written, great actors, great cast characters.

Yeah, they say, Payne, Josh Brolin. That's a big name actor.

How wide of an audience can this show get?

I think maybe we gave a pretty good example about two minutes ago when I didn't recognize the show.

And I'm not saying that to sound like an uber geek.

There's no way.

But I'm just saying, you had to remind me.

When you said Josh Brolin, I was like, okay, yes, I do remember this show.

Or whenever they were talking about it when it came out.

He was on a late night show.

And now I remember it.

But it's not at the forefront.

It's not something that I was like, oh, I've got to watch this right when it comes out.

So it sounds like I will now because you're giving us the top reviews.

So how many episodes?

I knew you were going to ask me that.

Something like eight.

Okay, that's good. I like eight.

We talked about this with Moon Knight.

Six is tough. Six is tough.

It's really tough to get everything in there.

Eight is the perfect number.

Ten, you're going to get two episodes that are the Stranger Things, Eleven Goes to Chicago.

Bang, bang.

Eleven Goes to Chicago episodes.

You know what I mean?

Just the weird where you're just kind of like, what are we doing here?

Eight's good. Eight's good. I like eight. Eight's a good number.

And like I said, a good cliffhanger.

I do recommend it.

It has some moments of, what are you doing?

What?

And you're talking about viewership.

Speaking of Tales from the Loop, how many people watched that?

I loved it. I thought it was really good.

I was a big fan of the RPG beforehand.

So like I knew that artist.

So the guy that created it, I guess he created the series technically.

He had this like book of pictures that he had drawn, painted.

I don't remember the exact art form.

Maybe it was all CGI or computer generated stuff.

Not generated, but computer drawn stuff.

And they were just these fantastic images.

There's a board game called Scythe that's also the same way.

It's just the same artist.

He just has these amazing visuals that like...

He just has these amazing visuals of people that are working in a field

with this massive robot behind them. You know what I mean?

It's like an alternate Earth.

Yeah, exactly. It's a world. He's world building.

Right. World building. You recognize the world and yet you don't.

Yeah, exactly.

And that's what I loved about it. I thought it was fantastic.

And I don't know how... I'd have to do the research or I'd tell you to go watch the show

and then do the research.

But the way that they crafted that world worked really well with his style.

It was just really good. It was really good. It was really good.

My guess is if we haven't heard anything about season 2 yet,

it's probably not happening, but who knows.

Well, again, I say how many people watched that?

Yeah, that was definitely one that I could... and I may have, I don't remember,

called my wife down to be like, hey, let's watch this.

And then the first episode she's like, yeah, you can watch this one.

You know what I mean?

I'll give her credit.

If she finds something that she really likes, like the Drive to Survive,

she's not into racing, but she saw that and was like, okay, I kind of like this.

I'll watch the series with you.

But yeah, there was no way... that was definitely an Eric question.

And there were some pretty Black Mirror moments in that Tales from Luke 2, though.

Oh, there were some heartbreaking moments.

Yeah, you're just like, ooooh.

Despair.

Yeah, yeah.

Like, why did you make me feel that?

And they ended it, too. They would end the episode right on that.

And it wasn't like any type of redemption of anybody.

Like, it was just like, ooooh, man.

Like, it was like, oh, yeah.

Not as dark as Black Mirror, but it was up there.

Like, it was pretty close.

No spoilers, so don't worry if you haven't seen it.

We're not spoiling anything.

We'll talk about it maybe six months out or whatever.

Moon Knight, give me your opinion on the whole series.

It's hard to... actually, I've seen YouTubers who are overall pretty much negative

on anything MCU at this point.

Okay.

I don't think that's justified.

It was an enjoyable series.

It's obviously very well made.

They spent so much money to make that.

When they were... this is not a spoiler, but let's just say the boat sailing part of it...

Yes.

...was drop-dead gorgeous.

Absolutely.

Absolutely gorgeous.

Absolutely some of the best CGI.

And you would be... like, two years ago, I would have been jawed to the floor in a movie theater from that.

And now I'm just watching it on TV as part of a series?

Yeah, just, I mean, absolutely amazing.

Can't say anything more about that.

Yeah, yeah, I won't say anything.

From a CGI perspective, it was amazing.

In my opinion, from a writing perspective, it was amazing.

From an acting perspective, it was top tier.

Like, top tier acting by Oscar.

That was just like... I am floored and probably will be a little disappointed if there's no awards kind of looking at that.

Because that was just amazing, amazingly well done.

Very well written.

I agree with you, I would have liked to have seen eight episodes versus six, but that's all up there.

That's up there for me, and I know you aren't as... it's up there with Loki in WandaVision for me.

Like, that was very, very well done.

Very well done.

And I really hope they can get him back for maybe a second season.

I think that... I think I would rate it higher than Loki.

Oh, okay.

Loki was... Loki is in a weird spot for me, because...

Yeah.

Spoilers.

Loki is just in a weird spot for me, because it had to introduce this huge setup for the next ten years.

That was its purpose.

And it did it well. I think it did it well.

Sure.

But it was... it was in a way that I don't... how do I say this?

It meandered. It meandered quite a bit.

Yeah, it did. It meandered a little bit, and you were just kind of like, okay, wait, hold on a second.

Let me make sure I understand all this.

Yeah, it meandered. Meander is the best way to say it.

It was good.

And contrast that with Moon Knight.

When you first... because you told me that Moon Knight is only six episodes.

I remember thinking, that's just... I mean, it's too few.

Why even bother? You can't get into it.

Yeah.

In the end, looking back, it's a very nice, tight six.

Yeah.

And it tells a wonderful story.

And a lone story. Yep. Um I have no problem with that.

Yeah, you know when the the burrito maker like makes the

burrito just big enough to where he can wrap it up for

you and it's just a perfect wrap cuz he knows the craft so

well. Yes, that's that's that's that's midnight to me. It's

it's not a huge burrito. It's not it's not some big

California thing where you're just like, oh, I'm gonna split

this and it's gonna bust all over me but it's taunt, right?

It is a taunt. It's a taunt tortilla. It is a taunt

tortilla and he got the wrapping right. Like he just

knew where to place it. Like, you know, he wasn't just

setting it in the center of the, you know, the little

square and and rolling it and hoping that he got it right. He

knew. He knew exactly where to put it because of that size

burrito. It was very good. Very good writing. I thought it was

gonna be rushed. And I I thought I saw it heading that

way. Uh it's gonna be rushed. And there's a part that that

you and I can talk about later when we're ready for spoilers.

Um that I have a real problem with. Is that is that part have

to do with horses? Horses. Is is there a scene with horses?

And I'm not giving anything away. I'm just asking. I don't

even know what scene you're talking about. Okay, there's a

there's a there's a scene. Yeah, there's a scene uh a party

with horses and that's that felt very quickly done to me

but that was the only part of the series that I was just

like, what? Yeah. Drawing a total blank. I'm talking about

right at the end. There's there's a part that I just I

have a real. Yeah, okay. No, I know you're being. I know I

know. Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. Um but

but in the end, I I didn't feel rushed. So, just nothing

but nothing but good stuff. I'm not gonna say it's the it's

the best thing ever. It was it was quite enjoyable. How about

that? It was extremely enjoyable for a show that had

multiple episodes to me. Like I just I like I look back on

that and I'm like, I watched a six-hour movie. Like like

that's what it felt like. Like the the the production was

amazing. The acting was amazing. The writing was

amazing. I mean, it just man IIII can't give that enough.

Like I really really enjoyed that. So, what else or have you

been in? I'm I'm debating if I wanna talk about Doctor

Strange. Well, I can't. So, yeah, that's yeah. Yeah, that's

so long viewers. Yeah. This is the all Eric show now. We

talked on the just to take a side here on the last pod.

We talked about everything everywhere, right? Yes, we did.

Yeah, yeah, you did. Okay. I and I told you that I was gonna

try to go see it and I did not go see it. I knew you didn't

go see it. Well, I didn't go see it to be fair cuz it was

only playing on like Gwinnett by the time I actually was

able to go see it. So, next episode, we got the I'm

ranging these out in order because I'm kind of excited

about it. Clone Wars episode, comic book story, partial

comic book story, and Visions episode. We we have a lot to

talk. That's a that's a good span. We haven't had a podcast

that is spanned and I don't wanna say three different

mediums because Clone Wars and technically Visions are both

streamable things but I'm I'm I'm kind of excited that we're

gonna have like three different kind of things. Star Wars

related and it's like a Star Wars potpourri. It is. It's

like Jeopardy's potpourri. That's exactly what it is.

Yeah, so I'm I'm totally excited about all three of

those different kind of versions of medium. Maybe it's

what we can call it and then I'm still still still reading

Light of the Jedi. It's not that I haven't been wanting to

get back on to to the book and I'm only I'm probably about

three-fourths of the way through. So, that's also

coming up on another episode. Maybe not this next week but

the week after we can we can do Light of the Jedi. It's been

so long since you read it. You may have to review some cliff

notes. Uh that moment passed about a year ago. Yeah, I know.

I'm so sorry. So, I've been resolved to reread the book.

So, just let me know when you get about ten pages from the

end. Yeah, so so here here's ten pages also. So, here's

here's my here's my thing. I own the physical copy of the

book. Charles Sewell has signed my physical copy of the book.

So, I don't wanna open my physical copy of the book. So,

I have the audiobook. So, I'm trying to make my way through

the audiobook and honestly like usually I listen to a lot

of so much so much luck with audiobooks in the past on this

So, so it it's just it's it's progressing a lot slower than

honestly if I would just open up the book that is signed by
