Thisspiasian

Thisspiasians are a species in the Star Wars universe hailing from the planet Thisspias. They are long-lived, cold-blooded reptilian beings renowned for their patience and composure. These traits make them highly valued as scholars, sages, and, in the case of certain individuals, Jedi Masters. They possess muscular prehensile tails and multiple braids, a distinguishing feature of the species. They are able to use their tails not only for movement but also for combat, if necessary. Thisspiasians also possess the ability to go into extended periods of hibernation, which is used to conserve energy.

One of the most famous Thisspiasians in the Star Wars universe is Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis, who served on the Jedi Council during the last years of the Galactic Republic. As an accomplished military strategist, his wisdom was influential during The Clone Wars. Despite their contemplative nature, Thisspiasians were not averse to war. To defend their homeworld, they maintained a line of warrior-kings and practiced the art of physical combat, thereby striking a balance between their cerebral and martial cultures.
