Salient I

The Salient I, also known as Salient-class battlecruiser, is one of the massive warships in the Star Wars universe, specifically featured in the "Clone Wars" novel named "No Prisoners." Known for its size and firepower, the ship was more significant than the pride of the Republic Fleet, the Venator-class Star Destroyer. Manufactured by Rendili StarDrive/Kuat Drive Yards, it was predominantly used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems Navy.

The Salient I was a heavily armed multipurpose starship with robust shields and stout armor, making it extremely hard to incapacitate. Its primary weapon was a broadside of 20 heavy turbolaser cannons. It also carried numerous anti-starfighter laser cannons to protect against smaller, agile attackers. The ship was also capable of deploying countless Vulture droid starfighters, hyena bombers, and landing craft.

In terms of design, the Salient I showcased the grandeur of the Confederate Navy. It had a distinct elongated design with the bridge tower placed at the rear. The hull of the ship was painted dark red, while the superstructure was a contrasting grey. the Salient I was a symbol of the formidable naval power of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Clone Wars.
