The Naboo Shuttle, officially known as the J-type diplomatic barge, is an iconic starship from the Star Wars universe. The ship hails from the planet Naboo and was manufactured by the Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps. It first appeared in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and it was primarily designed as a luxurious, fast, and unarmed transport vehicle for Naboo's high-profile politicians, most notably Queen Padmé Amidala.

The sleek and elegant design of the ship reflects Naboo's cultural appreciation for art and beauty. It sports a polished, chromium-finish hull, and uniquely curved wings that stretch out on either side, giving this starship an aesthetic appeal that matches its impressive functionality. Despite the luxurious appearance, the ships are powerfully built and have been seen outmaneuvering enemy starships.

Measuring at 39 meters in length, the Naboo Shuttle has a capacity to carry up to 12 passengers and five crew members for diplomatic missions. Its interior reflects its purpose with stylish and comfortable accommodations, personal quarters, conference rooms and a fully stocked galley, providing a level of comfort expected by high-profiled officials and royalty. It is powered by twin J-type engines that give it an impressive speed, despite its size.

Although a non-combat ship by design, the Naboo shuttle packs sufficient defensive measures. It is equipped with shields and sensors for high-level security and navigational aid. It also includes a couple of defensive lasers despite its peaceful design. In addition, the highly reflective coating of chromium across the hull of the starship effectively disperses laser traction, providing an added level of passive defense against attacks.

A notable variant of this is the J-type 327 Nubian royal starship which was also used by Queen Amidala. While the Naboo Shuttle does not possess the weaponry of the typical Star Wars spacecraft, it compensates with speed, elegance, and a superior design that is befitting of Naboo's prolific figures. It effectively demonstrates the Star Wars universe's understanding of the variety of spaceship roles beyond combat and brings a significant degree of 'royalty' into Interstellar travel.
