Harbinger ( Ship )

Ships

The Harbinger was a Harrower-class dreadnought that existed during The Old Republic era. It was utilized by the resurgent Sith Empire in the Great Galactic War against the Galactic Republic. With a length of trained troops and impressive firepower, the Harbinger was a fearsome opposition on the battlefield.

This heavy-duty capital ship was constructed with the capability to work both as a space-faring war machine and a planet assault carrier. It had immense cargo capacity areas that could carry thousands of Sith Warriors and Imperial soldiers, backed up by their respective equipment. It was strikingly similar to the Harrower-class dreadnought design.

Its main armament consisted of turbolaser cannons, ion cannons, proton torpedo launchers, and tractor beam projectors. The conjunction of these weapons gave the Harbinger the credibility to repel enemy assaults, and the tractor beam projectors allowed the dreadnought to hold enemy vessels stationary or sidetrack incoming torpedoes or smaller ships.

In the Star Wars game The Old Republic, the Harbinger is brought on in the context of the mission "The Battle of Ilum." In the mission, players are sent to fight off invading forces trying to seize control of the planet. Later, in the mission "The False Emperor," the Harbinger, alongside the starship Annihilator, is dispatched to station orbiting Ilum for imperial activity.

The Harbinger's story reached an end in the Voidstar Flashpoint. An abandoned Imperial ship, loaded with war-era technology left unclaimed in the deep parts of the Unknown Regions, is the target for both the Republic and the Empire. The Republic believes it to be the Harbinger; however, players reveal the ship as the Voidstar.

the Harbinger, as a Harrower-class dreadnought ship in Star Wars, plays a great role in the Great Galactic War. Even though it met its unfortunate end, the ship's power and impact undoubtedly had a significant influence on the direction of the war, making its name live on in the annals of Star Wars history.
