Lucrehulk-class battleship

Ships

The Lucrehulk-class battleship is a formidable capital ship that originally served as a heavy freighter and cargo hauler in the galaxy-wide trade industry. Manufactured by Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc., these ships were later converted into warships by the Trade Federation. Featuring a distinctive donut-shaped hull with a central sphere, Lucrehulk-class battleships played a crucial role during the Naboo Crisis and throughout The Clone Wars, often serving as control ships for droid armies. The ship's vast size, measuring over 3,000 meters in diameter, allowed it to carry a substantial number of battle droids, starfighters, and landing craft, making it a versatile asset in space battles and planetary invasions.

Despite their bulk and original non-combat design, Lucrehulk-class battleships were heavily modified to include numerous weapon emplacements and defensive systems. They boasted an array of turbolasers, point-defense cannons, and formidable deflector shields to hold their own in combat. The ship's interior space offered considerable cargo capacity, which was repurposed to house droid armies and other military supplies. These ships could also serve as mobile command centers due to their enhanced communication arrays and control capabilities. Although primarily associated with the Trade Federation, Lucrehulk-class battleships continued to see use under various factions, showcasing their adaptability and enduring legacy in the Star Wars universe.
