LR-57 Combat Droids

The LR-57 combat droid, also known as a retail droid, is a model of battle droid manufactured by the Retail Caucus. The combat droid has a unique design as it is created to be a walking, semi-autonomous artillery piece, distinguishable for its large, disk-shaped head and its tall, spindly legs. These lethal droids were employed by the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) and came into conflict with the Grand Army of the Republic during The Clone Wars.

Apart from its robust weaponry, the LR-57 droid is noteworthy for its monocular visual sensor located in the tube-shaped part of the structure protruding from the front of the droid's body. This visual sensor array allows the droid to acquire targets and observe its surroundings in various spectrums of light, giving it an advantageous detection ability. The LR-57 droids utilize their sensors to identify threats or target parameters at high altitudes or beyond visual range.
