Honor Guard

The Honor Guard, or the Red Guard, is a significant aspect of the Star Wars universe, having been introduced in the Star Wars franchise Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The Honor Guard, also known as the Emperor's Royal Guard or Imperial Royal Guard, is an elite unit of the Galactic Empire's armed forces tasked with the duty of protecting the Emperor. The creation of the Honor Guard can be credited to Emperor Palpatine as part of his efforts in establishing the Galactic Empire. These guards were initially enlisted from the ranks of the Senate Guard, following their disbandment.
