Gunnery Captain Bolvin

Gunnery Captain Bolvin was a character featured in the Star Wars universe, specifically in "Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi" released in 1983. He was a high ranking officer aboard the second Death Star, the iconic space station and weapon of the Galactic Empire.

Bolvin had a significant role in the Battle of Endor, where he was tasked with charging the Death Star's superlaser upon orders from Emperor Palpatine. However, he was unable to fulfill the task before the battle station was destroyed by the Rebel Alliance. Despite having limited screen time, Bolvin's role demonstrates the inner workings of the Death Star and the bureaucratic nature of the Empire.

The character was played by actor Mark Jones, who was credited as Death Star Controller. Bolvin's name, however, wasn't established until the 2016 release of "Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide."
