The Glymphid race is a species that originates from the Star Wars universe. Predominantly seen in Episode one, "The Phantom Menace," during the Boonta Eve Classic Podrace, the Glymphid character Aldar Beedo is showcased as a competitor. Glymphids are bipedal, hailing from the aquatic planet of Ploo II, and this species possesses a unique trait of having large eyes and head appendages giving them a unique look.

The Glymphids are known for their exceptional agility and reflexes, both of which shape them into skilled podracing pilots—a quality distinctively shown by Aldar Beedo in "The Phantom Menace."
