Glitterstim is a potent variety of spice, a type of illicit substance, featured in the Star Wars universe. It is derived from the webs of energy spiders, a species native to the dark side of the planet Kessel, a remote, inhospitable world located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. These inherently luminescent spiders use their webs to trap their prey, which is then harvested and processed into the drug -- a task typically performed by the planet's enslaved workforce. The characteristic sparkle of the raw material is retained in the finished product, which gives it its common name.
