Far-Outsiders

The Far-Outsiders are an extragalactic alien species in the Star Wars universe, most renowned for their race known as the Yuuzhan Vong. Introduced in the New Jedi Order series of novels, the Yuuzhan Vong were the primary antagonists. They originated from another galaxy and invaded the Star Wars galaxy, imprisoning or killing countless beings. The Far-Outsiders have a unique culture deeply rooted in pain and suffering, which they believe brings them closer to their gods. They also harbor an intense hatred for mechanical technology and instead utilize biomechanical technology, created through shaping different kinds of living creatures.

The Far-Outsiders made their movement to the Star Wars galaxy after their home galaxy became uninhabitable due to a cataclysmic event. Their journey to the Star Wars galaxy spanned across many centuries and was full of hardships, including a relentless civil war, which shaped their aggressive, warrior-like culture. These extragalactic invaders posed one of the greatest threats the Star Wars galaxy had ever faced, leading to the galaxy-wide conflict known as the Yuuzhan Vong War. Their biotechnology, unfamiliarity with The Force, and the sheer number of their warriors, made the Far-Outsiders formidable opponents for the inhabitants of the Star Wars galaxy.
