Enric Pryde

Enric Pryde is a character in the Star Wars universe, first introduced in the comic series, Star Wars: Allegiance, before making a notable appearance in the film, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. Played by British actor Richard E. Grant, Pryde is depicted as a high-ranking officer of the Sith Eternal and the First Order.

Pryde is notable for his long-standing allegiance to the Galactic Empire, serving under Lord Palpatine during its reign. Following Palpatine's initial fall, he assumed the position of Allegiant General within the First Order. Pryde's career is marked by loyalty and ruthlessness, which earn him a crucial role in Palpatine's final plan to restore the Sith regime.

In The Rise of Skywalker, Pryde is one of the central antagonists and is instrumental in the Emperor's plot to overthrow the Resistance. When Kylo Ren, the Supreme Leader of the First Order, discovers Palpatine's survival and the existence of the Final Order, Pryde orders the Sith Fleet to obliterate all Resistance planets.

Enric's loyalty to the dark side, however, eventually leads to his downfall. During the Battle of Exegol, Resistance spy General Hux reveals the entire Sith fleet's weakness, leading to Pryde's Super Star Destroyer, the Steadfast, being targeted. Pryde perishes as the Steadfast crashes onto the surface of Exegol.

Enric Pryde is a dedicated servant of the dark side, embodying the unwavering loyalty and ambition of the Sith regime. Despite not being as recognized as other Star Wars characters, Pryde contributes significantly to the final chapter of the Star Wars saga, The Rise of Skywalker.
