Cerean

Species

The Cereans are a species of humanoid beings from the Star Wars universe. Originating from the planet Cerea in the Mid Rim, Cereans feature prominently in the franchise, most notably through the character of Ki-Adi-Mundi, a Jedi Master who serves on the Jedi High Council. The Cereans are noteworthy for having distinctly elongated skulls, which house binary brains—a trait that often means they have superior analytical and problem-solving skills compared to other species. They are generally seen as peaceful and prefer to avoid conflict whenever possible.

Cerean society is unique and is distinguished by its matriarchal structure. It's also evident for its distinct lack of technology—unlike many other technologically advanced planets in the Star Wars Universe. They are known for their deeply philosophical nature and their attachment to simplistic lifestyles. Apart from Ki-Adi-Mundi who featured in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Cereans have also featured in Star Wars literature, including comics and novels, contributing to the rich tapestry of the diverse Star Wars universe.
