Gorith

The Gorith are a species from the Star Wars Expanded Universe which was first documented in the book "Ultimate Alien Anthology" which is a role-playing game sourcebook published by Wizards of the Coast. They inhabit the planet Goroth Prime, which is rich in hyperbarides, a class of minerals that can be used to fuel hyperdrives, making their homeworld a hot spot for galactic mining operations.

Goriths are a peculiar species, bearing a striking resemblance to a blend of both reptilian and mammalian traits. They are essentially bipedal, possess scaly hides, and present horn-like protrusions from their skulls, very similar to some types of reptiles. However, they give birth to live young and nurse them, a characteristic typically associated with mammals. They are a highly evolved species with complex social structures and intricate traditions. Invasion and exploitation of their planet by outsiders led to civil unrest and transformed this once peaceful species into rebellious freedom fighters.
