The Cerea species, notably known for their anthropomorphic species, are natives to the planet Cerea located in the Mid Rim's Shataum sector in the Star Wars universe. They are known for their enigmatic and unusual life choices, particularly their rejection of most kinds of off-world technology. These humanoids possess grey or brown skin, elongated craniums and only three fingers on each hand. Their height varies from 1.8 to 2.2 meters, typically taller than the average human.

As an isolated, peaceful, and unadulterated culture, the Cereans lean toward farming and do not engage in any form of the industrial revolution. They have a deeply spiritual connection with their environment that aligns beautifully with the principles of the Jedi. Keen on preserving their serene homeland and maintaining a clear divide from the complications of the advanced technology, they enforce strict import laws.

A renowned character in the Star Wars universe, Ki-Adi-Mundi, belonged to this species. He was a male Cerean Jedi Master during the last years of the Galactic Republic. His representation brought plentiful attention to the Cerean species.

The fascinating thing about the Cereans is their Binary brains leading to advanced multi-tasking capabilities. This bilateral symmetry of having two brains results in their tall coneheads. However, this intriguing attribute further leads to shorter lifespans due to the mental strain.
