Battle of Kaller

The Battle of Kaller was a significant conflict that occurred in the Star Wars universe, specifically during the final days of The Clone Wars in 19 BBY. The battle took place on the planet Kaller between the dominion forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Republic's 7th Sky Corps of the Grand Army. Under the leadership of Jedi General Depa Billaba and her Padawan, Caleb Dume, the Republic forces were victorious but this battle led to a crucial turning point in the Star Wars timeline.

At the climax of the battle, the infamous Order 66 was decreed by Chancellor Palpatine, who was secretly Darth Sidious. This directive, programmed into the clone troopers by the Kaminoans, declared all Jedi as traitors to the Republic and ordered their immediate execution. Clone Commander CC-10/994, also known as "Grey", executed the Order on Kaller's battlefield. General Billaba was killed but her apprentice, Caleb Dume, managed to escape execution.

Post-battle, Caleb Dume adopted the alias "Kanan Jarrus" and hid his Jedi identity in order to survive the new Galactic Empire’s rule. He became one of the main characters in the animated series Star Wars Rebels, fighting against the tyranny of the Empire. the Battle of Kaller not only marked the Republic's victory over the Separatists but also signaled the tragic fall of the Jedi Order and the rise of the Galactic Empire.
