The Seylott were a sentient species native to Seylott Island on the water-covered world of Naboo in the fictional Star Wars universe. They were a maritime, amphibious race, who spent most of their time in the azure waters of their home world. Seylotts were recognized by their smooth, bluish-green skin, webbed hands and feet, and a unique pair of facial tendrils hanging downwards from their lower lip. The exact purpose of these appendages was unknown, although they were believed to be sensory organs of some kind.
The Seylott led a well-balanced lifestyle, creating harmony between themselves, their environment and the larger galaxy. They were reputed for their craftsmanship, especially in the construction of large, elaborate floating island habitats and aquatic vehicles. Seylott society placed great emphasis on storytelling traditions, which they used to pass down cultural lore and educate future generations. As far as is known, the Seylott did not utilize droids or any form of advanced technology, which set them apart from many other species within the same galaxy.
