The Nubian Royal Starship, also known as J-type 327 Nubian starship or Queen Amidala's starship, is a sleek, luxury vessel designed by the Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps, and produced by the Naboo and the Nubian Design Collective. Unlike most starships, the craft is devoid of any offensive weaponry which reflects the pacific principles of Naboo.

Taking its cues from the yacht-like royalty transports in The Old Republic, the Nubian Royal starship is not only a stunner in terms of its shiny, chromium finish appearance, but it also shimmers with the high-definition technological mastery. The shape of the ship resembles a dagger or arrowhead, being distinctly streamlined for atmospheric travel, and measures approximately 76 metres in length.

Our understanding of this beautiful spacecraft would not be complete without pointing out its superior sublight and faster-than-light engines. The J-type 327 Nubian utilizes the powerful T-14 hyperdrive, manufactured by Nubian, capable of carrying the cruiser through hyperspace at incredible speeds, thus the vessel could swiftly traverse across the galaxy in case of diplomatic emergencies. This hyperdrive unit, being less common, came at a disadvantage as it also made acquiring replacement parts very difficult.

Inside the ship, it provides every imaginable comfort for its passengers with opulently furnished chambers, equipped with the most advanced technology of the time. There is also a display room filled with culturally significant items from Naboo, reflecting the culture and dignity of the Naboo people.

The Nubian Royal Starship was most famously used by Queen Padmé Amidala, and her Jedi protectors, during the Invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY. The ship played a vital role in taking the Queen to Courscant for meetings with the Galactic Senate, and was also involved in several skirmishes and escape scenarios.
