Nala Se

Nala Se was a female Kaminoan who was classified as a medic and a scientist during the final years of the Galactic Republic. She carried out various scientific and medical responsibilities on the aquatic planet Kamino and was instrumental in the creation and growth of the clones who formed the Grand Army of the Republic during The Clone Wars. Kaminoans bred the clones primarily from the genetic template of the leader of the Mandalorians, Jango Fett, and Nala Se had a critical role in this.

Throughout the war, she continued her efforts in maintaining the well-being of clones. She was the primary medical officer for the clone troopers and spent much time on the battlefield as a result. She was immersed in the war's developments and closely involved in decisions about the health and performance of soldiers. Her allegiance was always to the Kaminoan interest in maintaining the profitability of their cloning Enterprise.

Moreover, Nala Se was secretly a part of a Sith conspiracy to control the clones. She put "inhibitor chips" into the clones under the guise that these would control any possible rogue Jedi tendencies. In actuality, the chips were used to initiate Order 66 to eliminate the Jedi, a devastating event resulting in widespread wipe-out of the Jedi Order.

However, Nala Se had a somewhat complex character. Despite her complicity in unethical acts, she showed compassion towards the clones, especially when it came to defending their right to live after their usefulness in warfare had ended. This was showcased in episodes involving Fives and Tup, wherein she went against the common Kaminoan perception of clones as mere products rather than individuals. In this sense, she was an outlier among her people.

Lastly, after the Clone War and the downfall of the Jedi Order, Nala Se was conscripted by the Galactic Empire. She helped in the transition of power from the Republic and later, was directly involved in the early years of the Empire's Stormtrooper program.
